College Immersion

Curriculum designed for students to experience first hand what it is like to be a college student.  Students will live in a college dorm, take classes at the university's lecture halls and classrooms, and eat at the campus's dining halls.

College entrance
essay writing

Students will learn the components of a personal statement and finish the camp with a final rough-draft for their college application. The essay will be revised by instructors trained by a former college admissions counselor.

College life

Students will learn how to navigate the college life. Participants will hear from current college students about what college is like currently and about how they can make the best of their four years as a college student.

Identity

Students will explore different qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and/or expressions that make a person. They will explore their own self-image before going the next chapter of their lives.

Financial Aid

Students will learn about finances and how to budget for and in college in a financial literacy course. They will also familiarize themselves with the FAFSA application and create an FSA ID.
