CAP College Virtual Experience 2023

Virtual Program For High School Sophomores & Juniors
June 5 to 16, 2023

The virtual summer program is a two week intensive program composed of five different courses:

  • Essay Writing 

  • Identity

  • College Life

  • Financial Aid

Virtual Program

The two-week program will be offered through virtual platforms.  Students will be able to join remotely.

Essay writing

​

Students will learn the components of a personal statement and finish the camp with a final rough-draft for their college application. The essay will be revised by instructors trained by a former college admissions counselor.

College life

Students will learn how to navigate the college life. Participants will hear from current college students about what college is like currently and about how they can make the best of their four years as a college student.

Professionalism

Students will learn the importance of networking and how to apply for internships. Participants will have a Linked-In account by the end of the camp.

IDENTity

Students will explore different qualities, beliefs, personality, looks and/or expressions that make a person. They will explore their own self-image before going the next chapter of their lives.

Financial AID

Students will learn about finances and how to budget for and in college in a financial literacy course. They will also familiarize themselves with the FAFSA application and create an FSA ID.
